The year 7's and year 8's are learning to improvise. Have a listen to what they worked on today.Unlike last week they could choose from two rhythm patterns but the melody is up to them as long as they use C pentatonic so their melodies sound nice together.

Recorder Karate

A great effort LS2! We had lots of gradings today including a number of white belts. Check out the photos there is a bit of a surprise in the year 8 white belt photo. Keep up the good work.

Ukulele Gymnastics

A huge congratulations to Angari who graded with her light blue badge in Ukulele Gymnastics.She will now be working towards her dark blue badge.

The Uke Blues

Room 5 are learning to play songs on the ukulele. They have been learning notes on the A string and today they learnt the note E. They put it all together while playing "The Uke Blues".

Ukulele Gymnastics

First Ukulele Gymnastics class this term and we had four people grading to Red Badge. Congratulations Jeremiah, Josh S, Viva and Sky.

Library Performance for Music Week

The choir were lucky enough to be invited to sing at the Panmure Library to help them celebrate New Zealand Music Month. The choir sang the 2013 Music Month song "Paradise" by Waimarie Smith and "Something Good" by Bic Runga. Jorja was our soloist again for this song and partnered up with Riley (her first solo number). All the choir did an amazing job and I'm very proud of them. Thanks Zane my Music Man. Thanks to Mrs Burke, Miss Gina and Miss Caroline who helped to get the choir down to the library.

Domino Rhythms

The seniors are completing their Domino Rhythm pieces over the next few weeks. LS1 have created their rhythms and are working on body percussion for them and LS2 are using untuned percussion instruments.
